On August 3, 2023, our company conducted a factory tour as one of the “Summer Vacation Factory Tours” sponsored by Adachi Ward.
Although the weather was sunny and hot, seven elementary school students participated in the tour.
The first step was a factory tour.
Everyone observed with great interest as the machines and products were explained to them.
After the tour, the students made acrylic boxes.
The boxes were screwed together by trial and error to ensure the correct orientation. After completion, some children immediately put money in the box and used it as a piggy bank.
During the last question time, one child asked, “Can acrylic be recycled?” One child asked, “Can acrylic be recycled? It was a moment of surprise and admiration for our employees to see the high level of awareness of the SDGs even among elementary school students.
(By the way, acrylic can be recycled as recycled plastic, so it is an effective use of resources.)
Since the objects will remain in our hands, we would be happy if they become summer memories that will remind us of today every time we see them.
