History

May 1929: Omura Seisakusho is founded in Adachi-ku, Tokyo, under the private management of Hatsutaro Omura. Started manufacturing fountain pen barrels by cutting ebonite
(natural plastic) processing.
1935: Began machining of telecommunications equipment parts, mainly insulators, as well as jack boards, terminal boards, panel boards, and cutting of insulators, and began business with Fuji Communication Equipment Manufacturing Co.
1955: Started business with NEC Corporation
Sep. 1959: Reorganized as a corporation. Renamed as Ohemu Manufacturing Co.
Dec. 1964: Oyama factory established in Oyama City, Tochigi
Mar. 1971: Moved head office and factory to current address from Okawa-cho, Adachi-ku
Apr. 1988: Name changed to Ohemu Co., Ltd
Dec. 2016: Certified as Adachi Brand

Environment Policy

Basic Policy

Ohemu Co., Ltd as a member of the plastic processing industry, will strive to leave better products and to create affluent social capital, and through all of our activities, we will strive to harmonize with nature, reduce our environmental impact, and promote continuous environmental conservation activities for the future.

Course of Actions

Establish, operate and maintain an environmental management system to promote environmental conservation activities.
Considering the environmental impact of our business activities, we will establish and operate environmental objectives and targets to the extent technically and economically feasible, review them periodically, and make and maintain continuous improvements.
We will systematically conduct environmental education to familiarize all employees with this policy and strive to raise environmental awareness as a good member of society.
In addition to complying with environmental laws, ordinances, and regulations set by the national and local governments, we will establish voluntary environmental management standards and strive to further protect the environment.
Basic policies will be disclosed to the public as needed.
Prevent pollution as well as prohibit the use of regulated chemical substances.
To prevent global warming, we will strive to control/reduce CO₂ emissions.
Raise employee awareness of nature’s bounty and work to conserve biodiversity.
This policy is reviewed once a year at the end of the fiscal year.
